Reading the Bible.
Bible Study is one of the Ordinary Means of Grace.
Meaning that one of the best ways to learn more about the Lord Jesus is to read your Bible. For many people, the difficulty is reading with real understanding. First Church has an abundance of opportunities for Bible Study.
Primarily they occur, in keeping with the pattern set by Calvin in Geneva, on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening.
The Adult Sunday School class meets at 9:30 in the Chapel and is always working through a portion of Scripture.
On Wednesday evenings at 6:30, during the School year, Dr. Burton leads a Bible Study in the Chapel. This Bible Studies are intended to open the Scriptures and enable more informed discipleship and better engagement with the world. If you would like more information please do contact First Church.
